.We started September with the #yogawholehearted challenge to respect the work of Brené Brown and see how much we can learn from her.
Let's see the subjects we discussed.
☑️Day 1) Cultivating authenticity & letting go of what people think
🤓We are manifesting this with a standing pose.
All standing poses are routing you to mother earth, they connect you with your first chakra - the root chakra: Mulhadara!
Choose any standing pose that inspires you today to connect with your authenticity, just being who you are. Taking off all mask and showing the raw beauty of your soul.
Let's all trust more our gut feeling and speak our truth in kindness - no matter what others might think.
☑️Day 2) Topic today: Cultivating self-compassion & letting go of perfectionism. 🤓
🧘♀️Yoga Pose: Show us your favourite HIP opener.
Perfectionism is a biggy for me! My first AcroYoga mentor @lucie.beyer was a big help on my path to let go of this. Already in my @acroyoga teacher training in 2015 she told me during my teaching demo to voluntarily make a mistake and laugh about myself, because I was so caught up in being perfect. And this was such a great help!
Later during my Elemental Immersion certification in 2018 she helped me again to find balance between doing the best I can and staying humble about the mistakes I make. Thank you sister <3
Remind yourself today to be more self-compassionate and embrace your imperfections!
Tip: There is a great book from Brené Brown called "Gifts of Imperfections" - I can only recommend it!
☑️Day 3) Cultivating a resilient spirit & letting go of numbing and powerlessness
🧘♀️Today's yoga pose: Show us your resilience in your favourite inversion or arm balance.
👩🎓Brené Brown is an extra-ordinary researcher who studies topics that most people don't like to talk about: shame, fear, guilt, vulnerability and the like...
😁As a by-product of her work - while evaluating thousands of interviews - she also found out what it is that most HAPPY people have in common - despite their life situation!
💖From those results, she developed 10 guideposts for wholehearted living! <3
A resilient spirit for me feels like "I can do this" or at least "I can get through this". It has a lot to do with trust in myself, my problem-solving repertoire, my social support network like family and friends that I can reach out to. Thanks to all of them!
☑️Day 4) Cultivating gratitude and joy & letting go of scarcity
In this chapter, it is very important to @brenebrown that it is not enough to only have an "attitude of gratitude"! What is needed is an actual PRACTICE of gratitude to bring more joy into your life!
The good news: There are different tools you can try!
👍The one that works for me is making a list (in your head or on a piece of paper) when you are in bed before you go to sleep about all the things that happened that day that you are grateful for. All the people in your life that you are grateful for etc...
🙏Being grateful for what we already have attracts more of that into our lives!
☑️ Day 5) Cultivating intuition and faith & letting go of the need for certainty.
