I joined the #truthfultueasday challenge few weeks ago. Ever since I've been sharing my life and thoughts with you on my Instagram page to make social media more reliable.

I will share some thoughts here as well..
Where to start?
Micheal Jackson was a genius in so many ways and this song is still one of my favourites:
"I'm starting with the man in the mirror
I'm asking him to change his ways
And no message could have been any clearer
If you want to make the world a better place
Take a look at yourself, and make a change."👯♂️
In times of climate change, the refugee crisis and right-wing political uprise, this has never been more important.🙏
Although I feel that I have a good sense of self-reflection and do my best to not only talk about the change but also BE the CHANGE - I still think there is more I should do.
Lead by example
We have to stand up for what we believe in. Not only living it by ourselves at home alone and quiet. But leading by example and becoming active in public and inspiring others to do the same.
I still think I need to do more of that, dedicate more time for this, make it a more important task, put it on top of my to-do list...
@mariannewilliamson who is currently running for president in the USA is my biggest inspiration for this!
Who is inspiring you and what do you think you can do to make a REAL CHANGE in this world?
"Fortune favors the bold"
What do you think about this quote?
Being bold and brave doesn't come easy. But it can be so rewarding. Staying in your safe comfort zone is so much easier. But if we play it safe there is also not much potential for improvement or the big chance we are waiting for.💪
Taking risks is something we rarely learn from our parents who want to keep us safe - bless them! But who else could teach us?🙄
It is a bit like falling in love. No matter how high the risk to get our hearts broken, we have to take it anyway.
No risk no fun.🤷♀️
Live up to your potential
Living up to my full potential requires to be bold and really honest with myself. Re-inventing myself every day is something I try not to lose out of sight. I ask myself: Is this the best possible version of myself?
The goal is not to become a perfectionist about everything I do, quite the opposite I want to let go of that actually even more.
But I want to make sure I don't lose the bigger picture and stay on track with my vision.💫
❓What is your vision? How do you keep it alive?
Is it easier to be bold when we are young? ❓
This is for today.
.We started September with the #yogawholehearted challenge to respect the work of Brené Brown and see how much we can learn from her.
Let's see the subjects we discussed.
☑️Day 1) Cultivating authenticity & letting go of what people think
🤓We are manifesting this with a standing pose.
All standing poses are routing you to mother earth, they connect you with your first chakra - the root chakra: Mulhadara!
Choose any standing pose that inspires you today to connect with your authenticity, just being who you are. Taking off all mask and showing the raw beauty of your soul.
Let's all trust more our gut feeling and speak our truth in kindness - no matter what others might think.
☑️Day 2) Topic today: Cultivating self-compassion & letting go of perfectionism. 🤓
Yoga Pose: Show us your favourite HIP opener.
Perfectionism is a biggy for me! My first AcroYoga mentor @lucie.beyer was a big help on my path to let go of this. Already in my @acroyoga teacher training in 2015 she told me during my teaching demo to voluntarily make a mistake and laugh about myself, because I was so caught up in being perfect. And this was such a great help!
Later during my Elemental Immersion certification in 2018 she helped me again to find balance between doing the best I can and staying humble about the mistakes I make. Thank you sister <3
Remind yourself today to be more self-compassionate and embrace your imperfections!
Tip: There is a great book from Brené Brown called "Gifts of Imperfections" - I can only recommend it!
☑️Day 3) Cultivating a resilient spirit & letting go of numbing and powerlessness
Today's yoga pose: Show us your resilience in your favourite inversion or arm balance.
👩🎓Brené Brown is an extra-ordinary researcher who studies topics that most people don't like to talk about: shame, fear, guilt, vulnerability and the like...
😁As a by-product of her work - while evaluating thousands of interviews - she also found out what it is that most HAPPY people have in common - despite their life situation!
💖From those results, she developed 10 guideposts for wholehearted living! <3
A resilient spirit for me feels like "I can do this" or at least "I can get through this". It has a lot to do with trust in myself, my problem-solving repertoire, my social support network like family and friends that I can reach out to. Thanks to all of them!
☑️Day 4) Cultivating gratitude and joy & letting go of scarcity
In this chapter, it is very important to @brenebrown that it is not enough to only have an "attitude of gratitude"! What is needed is an actual PRACTICE of gratitude to bring more joy into your life!
The good news: There are different tools you can try!
👍The one that works for me is making a list (in your head or on a piece of paper) when you are in bed before you go to sleep about all the things that happened that day that you are grateful for. All the people in your life that you are grateful for etc...
🙏Being grateful for what we already have attracts more of that into our lives!
☑️ Day 5) Cultivating intuition and faith & letting go of the need for certainty.
🤸♂️Yoga pose: partner pose
“Intuition is not a single way of knowing…it’s our ability to hold space for uncertainty and our willingness to trust the many ways we have developed knowledge and insight, including instinct, experience, faith, and reason.” - @brenebrown
Let‘s all trust more our gut feeling! Let me know what you think about this in the comments!
