My days on this island are busy with yoga, nature and friends! So exciting! Nevertheless finding stillness is an ongoing mission I don’t want to loose out of sight!🧘♀️
Balinese people celebrate a lot of things all year around but ... ... last week they had one of the biggest celebration of all: The Balinese new year, the 'Nyepi day' (a.k.a. Silent day)🎇 🐲Unlike our New Year's day, Nyepi day is dedicated to rest, staying in the house, turning off the lights and keeping quiet for 24 hours. ⚡No entertainment allowed (internet and television are turned off by government). 🌏Nyepi is a day to give the island a break, so Bali can recharge for the new year. Nobody is allowed outside the house or on the streets because the spirits & demons are out! 👺👹👿👻 If you haven't been to a yoga retreat yet, maybe you can start by having a 'Nyepi' day at home. Turn off internet, meditate and be with your loved ones and with your thoughts this weekend!💑 Could you go one day in silence without any sort of entertainment? A virtual detox! 😝
