Acro & Aerial Yoga is all about Flying isn't it?
"The moment you doubt whether you can fly, you cease forever to be able to do it." Peter Pan⠀ ⠀ Arm balances in Yoga are some of the most challenging undertakings. More than any other pose they take a lot of courage and trust ... in your body ... your teacher ... your practice.⠀ ⠀ Crow pose is a great place to start. I only understood how it works until I learned how to engage my core and really pull those knees towards the chest! that made all the difference for me to find balance!⠀ ⠀ 👍Benefits: Crow pose really teaches you how to activate your finger power - which is also key for forearm stand and hand stand.⠀ ⠀ 👍Top tip: Make sure your palms are really flat on the ground, fingers wide spread and all knuckles pressing down - especially the index finger - or as we call it - the naughty knuckle!⠀ ⠀ 👍AcroYoga insight: If you are working towards handstands don't press with your knees from the outside - but rather bring them high up into the armpits for better bone stacking!⠀ ⠀ But most of all: Don't rush it and enjoy the process!⠀ ⠀
