Aerial Arts Festival is in the corner and this is going to be one of the most complex yoga, dance, and circus arts festivals of the year with people all around the world!
Aerial Arts Festival This is the place where you can try everything that you ever dreamed as a little child, Hula Hoop, Acrobatic Workshops, AcroYoga and of course Aerial. Of yourse I'm going to teach in this festival but not just the AcroYoga and Hula Hoop but there's a very special type of movements that is really close to my heart. This is the Thai Nuad Bodywork. Thai massage complements all the above mentioned exercises and a perfect way to calm your body after a challenging acro or aerial yoga session. What is Thai massage ? A dynamic bodywork therapy appeared first in the temples of Thailand. It's a therapy that is based upon yoga and Ayurveda practices. It appeared in Thailand, however, this therapeutic art was directly rooted in the Indian healing traditions of Ayurvedic medicine. The father founder of Thai Yoga Massage, Jivaka Kumarbhaccha was a renowned doctor and yogi, he treated the Buddha, among others. After the Buddha’s death, the earliest Buddhist monks travelled to Southeast Asia and were accompanied by Ayurvedic doctors. These doctors practiced a healing art, that would later evolve into traditional Thai Massage. In this unique healing system of Thai Yoga Massage, also called Nuad Boran, the practitioner guides the client through a series of yoga postures, while palming and thumbing along the body’s energy (‘Sen’) lines and pressure points. Why it is the perfect way to calm your body? After a long day in the air a Thaimassage helps to release tension in the body and ground yourself again. Together these therapeutic actions result in a comprehensive full body treatment.
3 Days workshop In these workshops you will receive a lot of different ways to calm your body. Each day we're going to focus on a different part of the body. 30th Aug. - 16:30 31th Aug. - 16:30 01th Sep. - 16:30 Join us to learn this amazing way of calming your body with therapeutic Thai Nuad! Love, Lisa Meet the remarkable UWE SATTELKOW in Vienna and learn from one of the best Austrian acrobatic artists in three different workshops. Surrounded by circus atmosphere the workshops are part of the wide-ranging program of the 3rd Aerial Arts Festival Austria in one of the funkiest urban locations: F23.at

What you need to know about Uwe
AcroYoga and Acrobatics AcroYoga and Acrobatics are really close to one another. The health benefits are very similar that ads up with a pinch of adrenaline too! Get to know more about the Aerial Arts Austria Festival here: https://www.aerialartsaustria.com/ This is the last day of AerialYoga challenge powered by Aerial Arts Festival! It's still not to late to join!
During 7 days we went through 7 topics. Let's see what they were! Day 1: The beginning of your Aerial journey. I first saw a fire 🔥 performance friend of mine hanging on those white elastic fabrics doing crazy things at the Phoenix circus arts center Vienna! 😱She gave us a quick workshop and i thought i would never climb or make a knot. So hard!!!! But i kept on trying every now and then just for fun... until I got hooked, but i never performed on them! Hooping took all my energy! ⭕️ 2013 I participated at the first Aerial Yoga teacher training in Austria 🇦🇹 by @sheila_falk thats where I met @sophie_skywalk The rest is history... 😂🤓 Day 2 The topic is: Your favorite aerial apparatus My favorite aerial apparatus is definitely the aerial hammock! In aerial yoga we use it for so many yummieh postures! I love how it makes the aerial world accessible to every body! But there are also advanced circus 🎪 tricks for higher level - anything you want! Inversions are so easy in it and also fun! I love the soft & silky feeling of the hammock on my skin. Day 3: Your favourite Aerial trick! I love <3 foot locks! There are so many variations... hard to choose one! Very simple poses often look the best! The crazy wraps can easily get messy. They are a great challenge though and no risk - no fun! I love how aerial art makes you feel graceful, beautiful and strong! I remember that when I had a terrible heartbreak in 2011 I started training Aerial Silks almost every day and it made me feel so strong - not only in my body - but also in my mind and heart. I felt like: hey I can actually do this! And if I can do this crazy shit - anything is possible! Day 4: Today: What is your Aerial Nemesis?👿 😲 I found upside down splits so challenging to learn! But I had a great teacher: @jessicajayaerial and a wonderful friend @tka_nina to help me out when I forgot everything! 😵 And then when you finally get it - it's so much fun to get upside down! 🙃 Day 5: Your Aerial style or your inspiration? 😍I love slowmotion and spinning! When i work on a new aerial yoga flow i like to swing if the hanging points allow! My favorite music 🎶 is melodic and has fat beats! Check out my Instagram for some Aerial videos, there you can see my style :) ✅Day 6: What is your greatest Aerial accomplishment? ? For me being able to teach what I love: AERIAL YOGA is my greatest aerial accomplishment! Nothing is more fun than to spread the love for what you are most passionate about! Day 7:: Your future Aerial goal or dream! I always wanted to try Flying Trapeze! But it is really hard to find a setup! Today is also my last day enjoying Barcelona Yoga Conference with my dear friend @justmyyoga 💜 I am full of inspiration for the future! What are your dreams & goals? Are you an Aerial Yoga teacher already but get bored with our own teaching? Are you looking for some new inspiration to enhance your teaching quality? Join me and @sheila_falk in October in Austria: - Level 1: 13. - 19. Oct. - Level 2: 20. - 26. Oct. Love, Lisa |
